No-one needs coaching. You’re busy living your life, maybe holding down a job, raising a family. You’re so busy you haven’t got time to think about your future, let alone plan it. Why do you need to plan for the future? You can’t control it but you can influence it.
Do you want your life to happen randomly or do you want to make things happen? Coaching is not first aid or fixing you nor is it dwelling on the past. It encourages you to be forward looking and ambitious and to stretch yourself.
It’s about making things happen quicker and by design rather than default. We all have dreams and sometimes we have bad experiences and setbacks. Sometimes we experience negativity from those who are disillusioned.Just because others are disillusioned, doesn’t mean you should be. Just because others have low expectations,it doesn’t mean you should. When you expect more from yourself, you achieve more. Coaching doesn’t change other people’s outlook or attitudes, it changes yours. It enables you to become “can do” rather than “can’t do”.
Do you want coaching? How do you want your life to be? Don’t wait for some day, sometime. Time is passing and if you are not living your life the way you want to, when will you change? If you do nothing life happens and you react to circumstances. Coaching is not about having a list of dislikes and avoiding things, it’s about what you really want and how prepared you are to put in the effort.
Coaching is not taking the easy way. There will be roadblocks on your journey and the challenge will be how you overcome these. You will need to think and act in different ways. Coaching helps you to review your plans and your course of action. Coaching is not magic and it’s not the answer to everything. Coaching gives you time to consider your dreams and to plan a course of action.
Your dreams are priceless. Imagine looking back on your life when you are on your death bed. Who are the people that are important to you? How have you spent your time ? What are the things that you are happy about? What regrets do you have? It is said that regrets are about what we have not done…
It’s up to you.
